Wart and Verruca Removal
Warts are benign (non-cancerous) skin growths, most commonly found on the hands and feet. They are caused by viruses (there are around 60 known wart-causing viruses in existence). Warts are highly contagious as the affected skin cells release the viruses, so hygiene is of the utmost importance if you are affected.
Warts can be contracted by physical contact or indirect contact with a contaminated object, e.g., hand towel or work surface. After you have been infected, it can take weeks or months for the wart to appear on your skin. They tend to affect humans from the age of three and up, with the biggest proportion affecting 16-18 year-olds.
Warts commonly appear on the fingers and around fingernails. They often have a cauliflower-like appearance, but this depends on the type of wart. Typical types of wart are: common, plane, mosaic, plantar (verrucae), filiform and periungual.
Veruccae only tend to appear on the feet. They are flat and thick in appearance, hard around the edge and have a small black dot in the centre. Often, they feel sore when touched or stood upon. Verrucae are highly contagious and are frequently passed on via swimming pools due to people walking barefoot.
Whilst the majority of warts and verrucae will go away by themselves given time, they may leave marks behind and re-infections can occur.
If you are suffering with a wart or verruca, BEAUTONICS offers a safe, effective treatment that will remove the offending object and restore soft and flawless skin. Laser treatment is the most common removal method and targets only the verruca or wart, not the surrounding area.

Warts Removal Laser Treatment
Most of us have had a wart on a part of our body at some time in our lives. Warts are one of the most common infections caused by a microscopic virus that infects the skin. Most warts are harmless and can disappear on their own without a warts removal treatment. However, warts on parts of the body that are bumped or touched frequently can be painful and cause bleeding. Warts can also be embarrassing if they occur on the face or appear in noticeable clusters on the hands and feet.
Warts removal is a safe, effective and relatively painless procedure that can be used on even the most sensitive body parts. Laser warts removal can also be used to prevent warts from reoccurring.
Laser warts removal involves targeting the wart with a laser; the laser passes through the upper layer of the skin called the epidermis and targets the tiny blood vessels that feed the wart near the dermis, the middle layer of skin. Laser warts removal kills the blood vessels feeding the wart, effectively starving it until it dries up and falls off. The laser kills only the wart infected area and leaves the surrounding tissue unharmed and undamaged.
Warts Removal that’s safe for adults and children
Laser warts removal treatment does not cause the discomfort often associated with other types of warts removal and is safe for adults and children of all ages.
The number of warts removal treatments required to permanently remove warts depends on the size, location and number of warts. Simple warts may only need a single treatment whereas deeper, stubborn warts may require several laser warts removal treatments.
Why choose BEAUTONICS for warts removal?
During a consultation at BEAUTONICS, your wart(s) will be evaluated and assessed to determine the number of warts removal treatments required. A skin expert will also discuss the procedure in depth so that you know what to expect during treatment and how to best care for the treated area post-warts removal treatment.

Verrucas Removal Laser Treatment
Verrucas are also called plantar warts and occur on the soles of the feet. Unlike other types of warts, verrucas do not protrude from the skin, this is due to their position on the soles of the feet. Gravity combined with your body weight effectively pushes them back into the skin. While you may be able to hide verrucas, they can be extremely painful which is why many people seek verrucas removal treatment.
Verrucas are caused by the plantar wart virus that enters the foot through microscopic cuts or scratches. Verrucas are pea-sized tumours that can occur on the bottom of the foot, between the toes or under the toenails and can be a source of intense discomfort.
Although many people naturally develop an immune suppression to warts and verrucas, it is quite common for them to reoccur within 2 – 5 years. You could wait for your body to develop its own natural defence against verrucas. However, if they are ugly, painful and you are justifiably worried about them spreading, verrucas removal treatment is a safe, effective and relatively painless procedure.
How does verrucas removal work at BEAUTONICS?At BEAUTONICS, wart and verrucas removal treatment using a long pulse ND YAG laser is highly effective. Verruca removal using using a ND YAG laser selectively treats the infected area without damaging the skin surrounding it. The ND YAG laser accurately targets the blood vessels that have been infected by the plantar wart virus. It heats up the infected area, seals the blood supply to the verruca and starves it. The verruca dries up and eventually falls off. This type of verrucas removal is highly successful for treating even the most stubborn warts and verrucas.
The number of warts removal treatments required depends on the size and location or the wart or verruca. Larger and deeply rooted verrucas may require several verrucas removal treatments.
How does wart removal work?
The wart removal treatment at Beautonics uses a Long Pulse ND:Yag Laser to target and destroy it without damaging the healthy skin around it. The laser cuts off the blood supply to the wart, thus safely taking the wart out of the picture.
How will I feel during wart removal?
Although you may feel some mild discomfort, the laser does not generally cause any pain. Sometimes, patients with sensitive skin benefit from the use of anaesthetic cream to numb the area during treatment.
Is wart removal the right treatment for me?
Even if your warts have failed to respond to other treatments in the past, you are very likely to enjoy great results with laser wart removal. Particularly stubborn warts may require 5 or more treatments, but it is very rare that a wart refuses to budge completely.
What happens after wart removal?
Complications are not expected; you can continue with your normal routine, including bathing normally. You might notice some darkening of the skin where the wart used to be, but this is temporary.
